Angles
An angle is the amount of turn between two lines that start at the same point. A quarter turn is a right angle, like the corner of a page. Angles are measured in degrees: 360° make a full turn, a right angle is 90° and a straight angle 180°. Angles smaller than 90° are acute, and those between 90° and 180° are obtuse.

You see an angle as an amount of turn, recognise a right angle (a quarter turn) and say whether an angle is smaller or bigger than one.

You measure angles in degrees with a protractor (360° in a full turn), name acute, right, obtuse and straight angles, and know that the length of the lines doesn't change an angle.
