Managing stress
Stress that lasts for weeks or months can bring headaches, tense muscles, stomach problems, poor sleep and constant worry, and over years is linked to high blood pressure and heart disease. Being active, talking to people, breaking problems into small steps and slow breathing help; alcohol, smoking and caffeine make it worse; and asking for help early is a sensible step.
